Residents expressed their happiness to receive services from Dessie Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, which due to the war, has not been providing medical services for a long period of time.

According to Mrs. Meremo Muhe and Mr. Abebe Abraham, whom we met getting service at the hospital, they were pleased to see the hospital doors open and the white gown wearing staffs caring for patients with smiles.

Healthy mothers’ month is being celebrated in Dessie, Amhara Regional State under the slogan "Let's work together to stop maternal mortality due to postpartum hemorrhage and any other causes". The State Minister of Health, Dr. Dereje Duguma, said more than 30 mothers die every day in the country due to childbirth. He noted that the problem could worsen in areas such as Dessie, where the TPLF has been waging war and looting, adding that all parties should work hard to address the regions health problems.

Donation of artificial ventilation equipment to assist in the prevention and control of COVID 19 and rehabilitate damaged facilities were handed over.

Delivery

An estimated 30 million birr worth of 100 artificial ventilation equipments have been provided to the Ministry of Health to assist in the prevention and control of COVID 19 and to rehabilitate damaged facilities. 
 
Tadios Tefera, a representative of the Modern ETH Outsource PLC, presented the support to the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tadesse and  said the support was intended to help people affected by COVID and that they would continue to their support.

Healthy Motherhood Month had been commemorated by Addis Ababa City Administration Health Bureau for the 16th time in our country and for the 35th time in the world under the theme "Let's work together to stop maternal mortality due to postpartum hemorrhage". The event was organized at Abebech Gobena Maternal and Children's Hospital.

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs (MoHCA) have jointly developed a plan to strengthen and accelerate the provision of integrated psychiatric and mental treatment to people displaced by war and conflict in various regions. The plan was presented by Dr. Yaregal Fufa and discussed by stakeholders at the Ethiopian Institute of Public Health Disaster Rehabilitation and Resilience.
