Ethiopia shares its experience in the Health Extension Program, Women's Health Development Teams and Primary Health Care Units with Uganda

State Minister of Health, Ms. Frehiwot Abebe, met with a delegation led by Ugandan State Minister of Health, Ms. Margaret Muhanga Mugisa, who came to Ethiopia to exchange experiences in the health sector, on the Health Extension Program, Women's Development Teams and Primary Health Care Units.

After a presentation on primary health care in Ethiopia, the group discussed a number of ideas, especially regarding the mission and management of women's health development teams and health extension workers, as well as service delivery.

State Minister of Health, Ms. Frehiwot Abebe, who stated that primary health care is a system that receives great attention in the health sector, explained that health extension professionals monitor the health of mothers and children with the help of digital systems and receive training at every level, thus achieving high results.

In addition to the ideas raised in the discussion, the State Minister, who indicated that they can visit the villages and see their questions in practice during the exchange of experiences, assured them that the support of the ministry will not be separated from them during the exchange of experiences.
