Minister of Health Dr. Makdes Daba, along with other executives, visited the Myung-Sung Korean Hospital. On the occasion it has been explained to the visitors the plans to expand the services of Myung-Sung Medical Center (MMC). These include a heart center, a kidney transplant unit, and cancer, primary stroke, cardiac and emergency care facilities.
During the visit, the hospital’s CEO, Prof. Song Jeong Kim, presented in detail history, achievements and future plans of MMC.
The CEO said that the hospital is committed to advancing healthcare in Ethiopia and is addressing critical gaps in the provision of critical medical services and specialty care.
During the visit, Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba thanked MMC Korea Hospital for its contribution to the Ethiopian healthcare system and said that the Ministry of Health supports the hospital’s expansion plans and will closely monitor their implementation.
The new health proclamation, which allows health institutions to perform organ transplants, and will strengthen the working relationship between government and private health institutions, it was noted during the discussion.
