Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba discussed with Rwandan Ambassador Major General Charles Karamba, first of all, the ongoing work on health care human resource development, as well as specialty and sub-specialty training, and ongoing and future work in the health sector.
Noting that the relationship between the Rwandan and Ethiopian health ministries and universities in the health sector is encouraging, Rwandan Ambassador to Ethiopia Major General Charles Karamba stated that they intend to strengthen this relationship in the future. Ambassador Charles then expressed his gratitude for the support provided to Rwandan medical students and professionals in Ethiopian medical institutions for capacity building training, especially in the area of specialization training.
Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba, for her part, announced that the Ministry of Health will undertake the necessary bilateral cooperation to strengthen the good relations between the two countries, especially in the area of producing qualified health manpower.
