The program was attended by the Minister of Health, Dr. Mekdes Daba, and ministers, heads of the Ministry of Health and MoH institutions, heads of the Kolfe Clinic, residents and youth.
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) provides assistance in various countries to help people affected by humanitarian crises, recover and rebuild their lives, and also works to restore health, safety, education, and economic security to people affected by conflict and disaster.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba said that they would like to continue working with the IRC to increase access to vaccines in conflict-affected areas of our country; and requested the IRC to support in improving the overall health system.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics, in accordance with the authority granted by Article 22, Sub-Article 1 of the Third Party Insurance Proclamation No. 799/2005 and the provisions of Article 27, Sub-Article 3, has prepared a draft guideline for the implementation of emergency medical services for victims of vehicle accidents by the Road Safety and Insurance Fund Service.
According to the Proclamation No. 799/2005, victims of road accidents are entitled to free emergency medical services up to two thousand birr at all health facilities. Based on this Proclamation, the cost of emergency medical services amended by regulation No. 554/2016, increasing to fifteen thousand birr. For this purpose, a draft guideline has been prepared by the Road Safety and Insurance Fund Service.
The official launch ceremony of the "Adam's" Foundation, founded by former Deputy Prime Minister Ato Demeke Mekonnen, which works on nutrition to end stunting in Africa, was held.
Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba is on an official working visit to various regions, zones and districts to observe and support citizen-oriented projects that ensure the benefit of citizens.
During the official working visit, the Minister visited health and nutrition projects, water and sanitation projects, agricultural projects, industrial, coffee and livestock development projects, corridor development, Lemat heritage projects, and so on. She stated that they are being implemented in an encouraging manner and that many works are being done to ensure sustainable development.
The discussion will help Ethiopia align its policies to increase domestic pharmaceutical production capacity with the framework, said State Minister of Health Ms. Frehiwot Abebe; and will also provide advice on practical steps to be taken to implement the framework.
State Minister of Health, Ms. Frehiwot Abebe, met with a delegation led by Ugandan State Minister of Health, Ms. Margaret Muhanga Mugisa, who came to Ethiopia to exchange experiences in the health sector, on the Health Extension Program, Women's Development Teams and Primary Health Care Units.
After a presentation on primary health care in Ethiopia, the group discussed a number of ideas, especially regarding the mission and management of women's health development teams and health extension workers, as well as service delivery.

The Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia and the Pan African Health Informatics Association (HELINA) co-hosted a roundtable consultative meeting on the impact of digital public infrastructure on Ethiopia's health system with representatives from donor headquarters.
