Dr. Mekdes said that Canada is one of the countries with which Ethiopia has established strong friendship; she stated that the friendship between the two countries has been and will continue to be strengthened.
Among the issues discussed by Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba with Canadian Ambassador Joshua Tabeh were increasing domestic production of medicines and vaccines, implementing electronic medical record in health institutions, digitizing the health sector, and modernizing and expanding access to primary health care services.
Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba, who said that one of the main issues that the Ministry of Health is working on is job creation and empowerment of health professionals, said that they want to work together with foreign countries and partner organizations in this regard.
Canadian Ambassador Joshua Tabeh, who said that he visited the services being provided by health institutions, said that Canada will continue to strengthen its support to strengthen the Ethiopian health system.
