Breastfeeding week is being celebrated for the 30th time in the world and for the 14th time in our country under the theme "Convenient conditions for breastfeeding mothers, let's teach, support!!" It was celebrated with the mothers and children in the shelter of displaced persons at Woyeneshete camp in Debre Birhan.

Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tadese, who was present at the handover ceremony, said that the Korean government has helped the health sector in various activities. She also further highlighted the support they had provided in maternal and child health, health insurance services, training of medical professionals, maintenance of medical equipment and prevention and control of covid-19 and intensive care equipment.

In the fiscal year 2014, various summer volunteer activities are being carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tadese, has launched a program to rehabilitate the homes of the vulnerable in Gambella town, through the summer voluntary service. With this, the house of 5 unfortunate people will be completely renovated.

“Convenient conditions for nursing mothers; Let's teach, Support!!” This year's breastfeeding week is being celebrated for the thirtieth time in the world and for the fourteenth time in our country.

The support provided today is laboratory equipment worth 9 million birr. The support is provided to six hospitals in the regions of Amhara and Afar, and it is a support to restore the laboratory units in six hospitals.

Lyndon Morrison, Head of Department of High Impact Africa and head of the delegation, said in a discussion with a group of senior management and experts from the Global Fund's headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, that Ethiopia has faced various problems, but they are happy because of the good performance of the health programs supported by the Global Fund.

The Ministry of Health and responsible institutions have launched a program to rehabilitate the homes of the indigent through summer volunteering in Lideta sub-city, district 5. The program has been launched by the Minister of Health Dr. Lia Tadese

Providing health services to all citizens is one of the primary tasks of the Ethiopian government. The Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia clearly mentions the issue of access to health services for every citizen.

In this regard, the Ethiopian government is working together with international partner organizations to provide urgent support for health services so that the health and humanitarian needs of our communities affected by the conflict in different parts of our country is met.
