A review of the Global Fund Grant implementation process and the ongoing execution of plans was held today at the Ministry of Health.
The review forum was chaired by the State Minister of Health, Dr. Dereje Duguma, and focused on the detailed works done over the past nine months with the financial support of the Global Fund; and assessed the current status of the implementation of the plan.
State Minister of Health, Dr. Dereje Duguma, said at the forum that all projects implemented by the Global Fund are result-oriented and should be carefully addressed by all parties involved.
He also said that the good work experiences seen during the implementation of the project should be strengthened and the existing problems should be solved to achieve the expected results.
The review forum was attended by officials from the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency, the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority, and directors and professionals from the Ministry of Health.
The participants have presented their previous works and their current status in terms of implementing and monitoring their plans.
Finally, Dr. Dereje said that all parties must work together to ensure that the Global Fund programs are implemented as planned, in a timely and effective manner. He also provided work instructions in order to take corrective measures in areas of visible work gaps.
Global Fund financially supports programs that are implemented on malaria, HIV/AIDS, COVD-19, and strengthening the health system.
