FMoH, Agencies Support Emergency Drought Response in Somali Regional State

A team from the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), the Ethiopian Public Health Institute and the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Service has handed over donated drugs, medical supplies and supplementary food to primary hospitals and health centers in drought affected localities of Somali Regional State. 


The donation, worth about 31 million Birr, will be distributed among six primary hospitals and six health centers in Somali Regional State for use in their drought related emergency response. 


W/ro Sehrela Abdulahi, State Minister of Health, said on the occasion that similar resources will also be supplied to drought affected areas in Oromia, South Nations, Nationalities and People’s (SNNPR) and South Western Regional States.
