This donation was made by the Coca-Cola Foundation, a global charity wing of the Coca-Cola company.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Tadesse, who was the guest of honor at the official handover ceremony, said the support will greatly enhance St. Paul's Specialized Hospital's ability to provide health care to patients.
Over 286,000 dollar worth of equipment including, personal health equipment, obstetrics and gynecology medical tools, pediatric supplies and biomedical equipment will be used by at St. Paul's to serve Addis Ababa residents and sectors of community who come to hospital through referral.
St. Paul's Millennium Medical College Provost Dr. Wondmageng Gezahegn said the support provided by the Coca Cola Foundation will enable the institution to provide medical, health care and other various services to patients from all over Ethiopia.
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa-Ethiopia Managing Director Daryl Wilson on his part said, the support will strengthen the hospital's health services capacity and improve the quality of services.
At the handover ceremony, the leaders of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa-Ethiopia Africa-Ethiopia and the administrative staff of St. Paul's Hospital were present.
